Milwaukee, WI, November 7, 2007 — F.J. A. Christiansen Roofing Co., Inc., located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a Merit Award recipient of the 2007 Projects of Distinction from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin. F.J.A. Christiansen earned the award for the installation of its TectaGreen Green Roof system on the City of Milwaukee’s 809 N. Broadway building located downtown.

“The City will realize several benefits from the green roof", remarked Rob McNamara, President of F.J.A. Christiansen. “Key among these include storm water management due to its ability to retain rainwater, reduced air conditioning costs due to the heat absorption and reflective properties of the plants, and attractive aesthetics to occupants of the neighboring Milwaukee City Hall and M&I Bank Tower”, he added. F.J.A. Christiansen was selected to install the green roof based upon our green roof expertise and the benefits and value of our TectaGreen turnkey solution.

Providing “Dependable Business Since 1879”, F.J.A. Christiansen is known for the condition of its “clean and green” fleet and projects such as the current historic renovation of Milwaukee City Hall, green installation at Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, and the new green roof for University Club Tower.
